Cash on Delivery in Pakistan: How It Works and How Stylica Keeps Every Order Safe

Cash on Delivery is still the most trusted way to shop online in Pakistan. It is easy to see why: the shopper does not risk money on a store they have never visited, and the store gets a real buyer instead of a promise. But COD only works when both sides follow clear rules. Here is how it works on Stylica.
Why shoppers prefer COD

The journey of a COD order
Every order follows the same five steps, and none can be skipped:
- Pending: you placed the order. The items are reserved, so nobody else can buy the last piece.
- Confirmed: the boutique accepted it and is packing it.
- Shipped: it is with the courier, with a tracking number.
- Delivered: you received it and paid the courier.
- Settled: the boutique's share is credited to its wallet.
An order can be cancelled only while it is Pending or Confirmed. If someone tries to mark an order Delivered without shipping it, the server refuses the change. You can watch your order move on the tracking page, and signed-in shoppers also get a notification at each step.
How stock stays honest
Two people can tap "Place order" on the last unit at the same moment. On Stylica, stock is only decremented if enough is left, inside a single database transaction. One order succeeds and the other is told the item just sold out — nobody gets a "confirmed" order for a dress that does not exist.
How sellers are paid fairly
Money is calculated in paisa, never with rounding tricks. After delivery, the platform commission for that category is deducted and the rest is credited to the boutique once. If the same delivery update arrives twice (couriers do resend messages), the second one is ignored, so a boutique can never be paid twice or lose a payment.
Delivery fees and promo codes
Delivery is PKR 150 within Multan and PKR 250 anywhere else in Pakistan. Promo codes are checked on the server: STYLICA500 takes PKR 500 off orders of PKR 5,000 or more, and WELCOME10 gives 10% off your first order, up to PKR 1,000.
If something goes wrong
