How to Start Selling Clothes Online in Pakistan: A Boutique Owner’s Guide (2026)

Thousands of talented designers in Pakistan sell only through Instagram DMs and WhatsApp groups. That works until it doesn't: orders get lost in chats, customers ask "price?" on every post, and nobody knows which parcel was paid for. Moving to a proper online store fixes most of that. Here is how to do it without hiring a developer.

Step 1: Decide what you sell, and to whom

Start narrow. "Women's clothing" is not a niche; "hand-embroidered khaddar kurtis for working women" is. A clear focus makes your photos, prices and descriptions consistent, and consistent stores sell more.

Step 2: Get your paperwork ready

To open a store on Stylica you need:

  • Your CNIC (the account holder must be the owner).
  • A bank account or Raast ID for payouts.
  • Your store name, city and a short description of what you make.
  • An NTN is optional for small sellers but helps later.

Apply on the Become a Seller page. Most applications are reviewed within 24 hours, and if something is missing, the admin note tells you exactly what to fix.

Step 3: Photograph like a buyer

You do not need a studio. You need daylight, a plain wall and patience.

  • Shoot near a window in the morning, never under a yellow bulb.
  • Take one full-length photo, one flat photo of the fabric, and one close-up of the embroidery.
  • Show the dupatta and trouser, not only the shirt.
  • Upload the original photos. Stylica keeps the full-quality original and automatically serves each phone a lighter AVIF or WebP version, so you never have to compress images yourself.

Step 4: Write descriptions that answer questions

Every unanswered question is a lost sale. Include fabric, number of pieces, shirt and dupatta length, colour name, stitched or unstitched, and care instructions. Customers searching for "embroidered lawn 3 piece with chiffon dupatta" will only find you if you actually write those words.

Step 5: Price for profit, not for followers

Work backwards from what you keep. On Stylica, commission is a percentage set per category and is only deducted when an order is delivered. For example, on a PKR 10,000 order with a 10% commission, the platform fee is PKR 1,000 and PKR 9,000 goes to your wallet. Cancelled and returned orders cost you no commission.

Step 6: Manage stock honestly

Overselling is the fastest way to lose a customer. Keep stock numbers accurate, and set up low-stock alerts (Stylica warns you at 5 units by default). If you have a large catalogue, use bulk CSV upload: valid rows are imported and every bad row is listed with the reason, so you fix only what is wrong.

Step 7: Ship fast, and mark it shipped

Customers get a notification at every status change. Confirm orders the same day, print the packing slip (it has a barcode and the COD amount), and add the courier tracking number when you mark it shipped.

Step 8: Get paid

After delivery, your share is credited to your wallet automatically and appears in an append-only ledger you can download. Request a payout once your balance is at least PKR 1,000.

Step 9: Ask for reviews, then ask for promotion

Good reviews push your products higher in "Most popular". Once you have a few, you can request a home page promotion for a product from your dashboard. Admins review each request, and approved products appear in the featured section on the home page.
